I can never tell the emu from ostrich. In any case, both are scary up close. This is a picture taken at the Safari Park in Lexington. It's so much fun to drive thru and feed the animals. My wife and I were laughing all the way. If you get the chance, you have to go. Watch out for the zebras.

If you have a picture of the feet you can tell the difference. My daughters could identify them when we visited a while back. By comparing to some of my pics, I think this one was an emu.
